Palmowski's Dominant Performance Continues

Alisha Palmowski, competing for Campos Racing, has established a commanding lead in the 2026 F1 Academy drivers’ championship, holding a 48-point advantage after four rounds of the current season. With the fifth round scheduled for Austin next month, Palmowski is well-positioned to secure the title.

Palmowski reflected on her significant progress in the series during an interview with the Feeder Series Podcast, emphasizing the team’s collective growth since her rookie season. In 2025, her debut year, Palmowski finished fifth in the championship standings, securing a victory in Shanghai and multiple podium finishes, but she acknowledged it as a learning experience that paved the way for this year’s success. She explained that both she and the team made mistakes last year, which ultimately made them a stronger outfit for the current season.

Path to Championship Success

Palmowski’s performance this season has been exceptional, including a masterclass weekend at Zandvoort where she achieved a lights-to-flag victory in the feature race. Her impressive record now includes four race wins and an additional podium finish, contributing to her substantial total of 136 points in the standings. Additionally, she set new records for the largest margin of victory in Montreal, winning race one by 10.119 seconds and race two by an even greater 10.955 seconds.

Despite her dominant campaign, Palmowski remains focused, telling the Feeder Series Podcast that the job is not yet finished. She acknowledged the unpredictable nature of motorsport, stating that circumstances can change quickly, so she has not achieved her goal of becoming champion quite yet. Palmowski is backed by the Red Bull Academy Programme, a separate entity from the Red Bull Junior Team.
